In preparation for the Garden Hills meet on Tuesday evening, please see the information below that Garden Hills has provided to us. There is lots of important detail in here about parking and the spectator set up - please read it through so you are not caught out on Tuesday. 

Also, we still need some volunteers. Timers are critical to the meet starting. Bull pen volunteers are critical to kids making it to the blocks. Thank you for taking a look here and signing up!

Information from Garden Hills

The address for the pool is 335 Pinetree Rd. Atlanta, GA 30305. 

Important Parking and Drop-Off Information Street parking is extremely limited and parking tickets are being issued in the neighborhood. All parking on the street in front of the pool will be reserved. Many of the nearby streets will have parking limited to one side of the street only. Please ask your families to obey all the parking signs, and not to block driveways or intersections. We will have police officers nearby and in front of the pool to assist. Additional parking will be available at 14 E. Wesley Rd. (the lower parking lot for Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church), at the corner of E. Wesley Rd. and W. Bolling Rd., 0.4 miles west of the Garden Hills Pool (this will be the easiest place for your families to park if they don't mind a short walk). There will be a marked area to drop off swimmers in front of the pool house. Please be careful dropping off anywhere else as we get a lot of cut-through traffic during rush hour. 

Weather Information Right now the weather looks good! But just in case we have thunderstorms, we have our Rec Center building (next door to the pool - just walk through the playground) available for shelter, or families will need to shelter in their cars. 

Meet Information We will have a full concession stand with Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, burgers (and veggie burgers), hot dogs, pizza, candy, chips, popcorn, ice cream, and drinks. Please bring cash (small bills) and we accept credit cards for purchases over $15 (credit card purchases under $15 will incur a $2 surcharge). 

Spectator Information: families should bring camp chairs as pool furniture will be limited. Please let your families know it is best if they sit out on the field or down near the shallow end and just come up to watch their races - we will have standing room only next to the deep end. We don't have a lot of spectator seating, and we need to keep the area around the pool clear for swimmer traffic.
