1. Brookwood Hills meet - we still have some important volunteer spots to fill.

2. Championship meet - expect lots more info from Coach Carter, but for your planning:

a) See info from the league about GA Tech parking, official photos etc. This page will update continually between now and Thursday as more details are confirmed. For now, my advice is to prioritize booking parking - all the links you need can be found via this page.  https://asa.swimtopia.com/championship

b) The ONLY adults allowed on the pool deck are coaches and official volunteers. Everyone else must stay in the bleachers, and this will strictly enforced by GA Tech staff. You will not be able to pop back and forth to see your child or bring a snack / forgotten goggles / towel and your child will not be allowed to come back upstairs to find you - the venue is large and we cannot keep them safe if we allow them to scatter. Pack their bag carefully to ensure they have what they need - towel, goggles (plus spares), cap, water, snacks. They need to be dressed in their swim suit before they arrive. If you want to be near them, you will need to be speedy in signing up for one of the volunteer spots.

c) Volunteers - as soon as the league confirms the roles we need to fill I will send the link out.

d) Thursday is going to be a busy day in Atlanta - there is a big soccer event at Mercedes-Benz and CNN is hosting the presidential debate in the evening. The GA Tech campus is not expected to be directly impacted, but we all know how Atlanta traffic can snarl up. Hopefully your travel time to GA Tech will be ok, but make no assumptions and please plan wisely.

e) While the swimming will start at 4pm, our official entry time will be much much much earlier. Don't be taken by surprise at the early arrival time - for now, assume we will be asking you to arrive at 1pm. This is a huge meet and logistics are complex. We are required to enter the building as one large team at a very specific time and we need to have all swimmers checked in and marked up before we enter.

5. Reminder to send me your USA Swimming membership numbers - ignore this if your child is not a USA Swimming Member (year-round competitive swimmers will be members). 

6. T-shirts - if your child has not picked up their team T-shirt please have them do so today or tomorrow. 

7. A massive thank you to all the families who have been volunteering. Some of you have gone above and beyond and we're deeply grateful. Some of you are yet to join the ranks. We need everyone to play their part.
